Dead of Winter Event From Curative Reading

Sunday February 25th 2:30 - 5:00 pm

HOME, West Acton Villageworks

525 Massachusetts Avenue, West Acton, MA

Meant to inspire us and bring us back to life in the dark days of winter 2024, Dead of Winter Events bring awareness to the concept of wintering and embracing what is dormant or dying off in our lives as a portal to living a more fulfilled life. Come walk in sacred nature, read inspired literature and share a taste of vibrant local food in an intimate group of up to 12.

We will meet in the gloaming hour of Sunday afternoon in nearby woods to look for signs of life in a forest fast asleep for the winter. After walking and learning along the way about winter hibernators, we will gather for inspired story and a taste of vibrant local food at HOME.

Our featured short story, At Home by Wendell Berry, will bring us back in time to a 1940’s imaginary small town in rural America.

1:30 - 3::30 pm Optional: Come early and shop at Villageworks. Some of the shopkeepers will give Curative Readers a discount for the day.

2:30 - 3::30 pm Optional: Woodland Walk (nearby Wright Hill conservation land).

3:30 - 5::00 pm Inspired literature and a taste of vibrant local food at HOME, West Acton Villageworks, 525 Massachusetts Ave., West Acton, MA
